Throughout 2016, Jordan will witness many activities, public celebrations, processions and military ceremonies across the Kingdom’s governorates marking the centenary of the Great Arab Revolt, launched by Sharif Hussein Bin Ali the great-grandfather of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, seeking freedom, renaissance, independence and unity.
This website is launched by the national executive committee for the Kingdom’s celebrations of the Great Arab Revolt Centennial. It seeks to keep the audiences interested in national celebrations informed and also provide historical facts and information on the Great Arab Revolt and Arab Renaissance
The website is administered by The Royal Heritage Directorate, which was established in 2015. It also supervises, maintains and develops several national heritage sites and projects aimed at showcasing Jordanian heritage, including:
